Key terms and concepts related to Telegram NFT Gifts.
- Gift
- A unique digital collectible on the TON blockchain that Telegram users can send to each other. Each gift has a visual appearance defined by its model, backdrop, and symbol.
- Collection
- A themed group of gifts sharing a common concept — for example, Plush Pepes, Eternal Roses, or Desk Calendars. Each collection contains multiple model variants.
- Model
- A visual variant within a collection. Each model has a unique design, name, and rarity percentage. For example, 'Midas Pepe' is a model in the Plush Pepes collection.
- Backdrop
- The background color or pattern behind the central object in a gift. Examples: Emerald (green), Satin Gold, Midnight Blue.
- Symbol
- A small repeating icon pattern overlaid on the backdrop. Examples: Lovebirds, Dice, Lightning.
- Rarity
- A percentage indicating how often a model appears when a gift from its collection is minted. Lower percentage = rarer. A 0.1% model is extremely rare, while 5% is common.
- Mint
- The process of creating a new gift. When a user buys a gift, a random model, backdrop, and symbol combination is generated (minted).
- TON
- The Open Network — a blockchain platform developed by the Telegram team. All Telegram gifts are NFTs on the TON blockchain. Prices are denominated in TON cryptocurrency.
- NFT
- Non-Fungible Token — a unique digital asset on a blockchain. Each Telegram gift is an NFT, meaning it has a verifiable owner and can be traded.
- Fragment
- Telegram's official marketplace (fragment.com) for trading usernames, phone numbers, and NFT gifts.
- Floor Price
- The lowest price at which a gift from a specific model is currently listed for sale on a marketplace.
- Tag
- A thematic label assigned to models for categorization and search. Examples: halloween, cute, pixel-art, gold. Models can have multiple tags.
